Menstrual pain is part of life for many women but why should we suffer? Although some women are impacted more than others, the most important thing to keep in mind is quality of life. It is important that women are able to feel comfortable doing daily activities without having their life disrupted by the pain of menstrual cramps. This is the reason we love marijuana suppositories, a natural and safe way to relieve pain almost instantly and allow you to carry on with your day to day activities without having to suffer.  A study by Dr. Paula-Noël Macfie reveals that, although some of the effects of marijuana on health have yet to be verified, it is a fact that this plant helps reduce pain In turn, ensuring that these suppositories help to reduce inflammation and relieve pain for women everywhere.

The suppositories are made from three natural ingredients: organic cocoa butter, carbon dioxide extracted from cannabis oil and CBD Isolate (cannabidiol, one of the primary components of the plant). They are introduced as if they were tampons, placed vaginally before or during menstruation and in a period of 15 to 30 minutes you will begin to feel their effects.

THC and CBD have been known to be safe to use for the body, and its analgesic effects are also well-known too. Dr. Paula-Noël Macfie, has studied cannabis and its medical properties to observe the effects of relief by means of these tampons or suppositories to relieve menstrual pain.

Endometriosis occurs when the cells of the lining of the womb grow into other surrounding areas causing pain, heavy bleeding in between periods, and infertility problems, dyspareunia or vaginismus, are phenomena that trigger severe pain in the vaginal area. It is estimated that a large portion of the population may suffer from endometriosis; and many more from dyspareunia and vaginismus. Although the first one is of physiological origin, that is to say, that they are permanent growths in the body and they are not eliminated when you have the period, and the second and third can be physiological or emotional, there are no completely effective and natural treatments to reduce the pain that these vaginal or uterine affectations inflict.

Dr. Paula-Noël Macfie, who has suffered from MS (Multiple Sclerosis) related pain, decided to conduct research on THC and CBD for pain relief and she found that cannabis vaginal suppositories are highly effective in the fight to reduce pain and stress caused by menstrual cramps. She also stated that the pelvic region contains more cannabinoid receptors than any other part of the body, except for the brain, so “providing these assets in a suppository format is a natural choice.”

Unlike other products, such as sprays or cocoa butter grafts with THC oil, Dani Pepper Relief is composed of two elements that help reduce pain and relax the muscle locally without the psychoactive alteration of consciousness. So now women can feel liberated from pain without being in an altered state of consciousness.

Our own cannabis suppositories recipe

You too can create a vaginal suppository that contains cannabis, in the comfort of your own home. Creating these cannabis suppositories is rather easy and requires very little in terms of ingredients and of course they will be safe to use if instructions are followed and you understand your tolerance. It is pertinent that you create your suppository with the appropriate dosage for you. As long as you have got the main ingredients such as cocoa butter, cannabis, and coconut oil, you are good to go, be sure to add some drops of CBD oil if you are so inclined as well. The inclusion of CBD oil can also improve the analgesic properties of the suppository.

You will need the following ingredients:

  • 250mg of THC
  • 250mg of CBD
  • 1/4 organic cacao butter
  • 3ml syringe
  • Suppository mold

Steps:

1. Heat the raw cacao butter on low heat until it begins to melt.

2. When it has turned into a liquid, you can then pour in the CBD oil and cannabis and mix it everything well.

3. Whisk or mix with a spoon until the CBD oil, cannabis and cacao butter have fully blended together.

4. Wait until the mixture cools, and fill up the 3ml syringe. You can then fill the metal suppository mold with your syringe and wait to cool. And Voila!

This recipe makes approximately 25 suppositories at 85 mg each. For a greater yield with less strength, make the recipe with ½ cup or 1 cup of cacao butter (80 suppositories per gram versus 25 at 1/4 cup cacao butter).
